Following the reported very successful 2018 & 2019 tours to England, SAGE is once again taking delegates to the UK (England and Scotland) to explore the application of Person Centred Care in Retirement, Aged Care and Home Care settings.
Over the course of twelve days, the delegates will visit many facilities, enjoying, for instance, the best of the British expertise at the Royal Chelsea Hospital and at the One Housing HQ in London. They will also discover one of the well-known and award-winning Sunrise Senior Living facilities and the Royal Star and Garter Homes in Surrey (the organisation provides the very best nursing and dementia care to veterans and their partners). In Scotland, they will visit one of the new care homes in the Morrison Community Care group which are technologically advanced; the Erskine Care Home which delivers to veterans and uses an advanced nurse model to reduce use of acute facilities; homecare services which utilise self-managed and autonomous teams.
Each day will be focused on a different theme, from integrated communities to memory care.
The program will also include seminars with our UK colleagues, on distinct issues such as new technologies in care or human rights in care.
Tour dates: 29 March - 9 April 2020
